S23: A Comprehensive Guide

Introduction/Disclaimer

S23 is a SARM that has become popular due to its potency to build muscle. In this article we will examining its uses, benefits, potential side effects and my personal experience with it

What is S23

S23 is a non-steroidal SARM that was originally developed to treat muscle wasting and osteoporosis.

It works by selectively binding to androgen receptors in the body, promoting anabolic effects while (supposedly) minimizing androgenic side effects.

It is known for its strong binding affinity, making it one of the most potent SARMs available.

Benefits of S23

Increased Lean Muscle Mass:

S23 is renowned for its ability to promote lean muscle gains.

It enhances protein synthesis, leading to improved muscle growth and strength.

Out of all the SARMs I used it is definitely the strongest one.

Enhanced Fat Loss:

S23 can help achieve a leaner physique by increasing metabolism and promoting fat oxidation.

My metabolism went up like crazy on this compound and I was able to lose fat while eating almost 4000 calories a day.

The metabolism increase can go up to a point where it is difficult to eat to keep up with it.

Improved Endurance and Stamina:

S23 will also increase endurance and improve performance during workouts, making it easier to push harder and train longer.

My workouts were pretty damn amazing when I was taking it.

Side Effects

HPTA Suppression:

S23 will suppress your natural testosterone production like no other SARM. I would not use it without a legit test base. For more information on that go check my full guide on test bases.

Androgenic Side Effects:

Although S23 is considered to be minimally androgenic on paper, in actual application it is shown by most of the anecdotal data to cause very blatant androgenic side effects like increased aggression and heightened libido.

There are also a lot of anecdotal reports of hair shedding and it is not safe on the hair whatsoever.

If you’re prone to male pattern baldness this compound could wreak havoc on your hair.

I did not experience any hair shedding but that’s because I’m using RU58841 on my scalp.

If you are keen on trying this compound and hair is a concern for you, you will definitely have to use a topical anti androgen on your scalp.

Impaired lipid profile:

S23 is known to completely trash your lipids on your bloodwork

Vision Disturbances:

Some users have reported temporary vision issues while using S23, which typically resolve after discontinuing the compound.

I did not experience that.

SHBG Crash:

S23 will crash SHBG (Sex hormone binding globulin). If you’re already blasting testosterone when deciding to implement it, beware of the “spillover effect” it will cause by freeing more testosterone.

Liver toxicity:

At low to moderate dosages anecdotal reports and animal studies show that S23’s liver toxicity is pretty low.

I personally did not experience any symptoms associated with liver toxicity. Still it is better to avoid drinking while using this compound.

I would also avoid using it for more than 8 weeks straight.

Increase in blood pressure:

Some anecdotal reports and user experiences suggest that S23 may lead to a significant increase in blood pressure.

I personally did not experience it even at dosages as high as 24mg per day.

Methods of Administration and Ideal Dosing Frequency

S23’s half life is supposed to be somewhere between 12 to 36 hours.

Not knowing more about the exact half life at this moment, it is probably better to administer it twice daily for ideal blood serum concentration stability.

Also we know from anecdotal reports that it is very bioavailable, but there is still no clinical data on its exact oral bioavailability.

Some people also choose to inject it intramuscularly, and there were some who reported better bioavailability compared to oral administration.

S23 not being more than mildly hepatotoxic in most anecdotal reports and clinical data, there is no necessity to inject it.

Dosing Guidelines

When administered orally, S23 is generally dosed somewhere between 10 to 30 mg per day.

I personally took 24 mg daily split into 2 dosages, one in the morning and the other one in the evening.

I would not go over 30mg, as most people who got over that dosage reported similar side effects to high dosages of steroids (BP increase, excessive aggression, hair loss).

If injected I would not go over 20mg per day, just by precaution.

Personal Experience and Results

S23 is by far my favorite SARM out of the ones I tried and that’s because it is freaking strong, way stronger than RAD 140 or LGD 4033.

I used it in the last 4 weeks of my last SARM cycle and to put it plainly, 4 weeks of S23 dosed at 24mg per day got me as much gains than my first 8 weeks of the cycle using 24 mg of RAD 140 per day.

I got more aggression (but in a good way), and higher libido compared to when using RAD140.

Also S23 made me look 1-2% body fat leaner than what I actually was.

In 4 weeks of using it I was able to lose around 2% of bodyfat while staying at the same weight and getting stronger.

Me before (First picture) and after 4 weeks of taking S23 at 15-17% body fat (without a pump)

S23 VS Other SARMs and Steroids

In terms of strength and muscle gains potential any other SARMs pale in comparison to S23 at the exception of YK11, but YK11 is the sketchiest compound in the realm of SARMs.

Many bodybuilders who tried it, consider it a lighter version of trenbolone, while not as strong it is still stronger than most steroids mg per mg.
