What Is RU58841
RU-58841 is a nonsteroidal antiandrogen.
It was formerly under investigation for potential use as a topical treatment for androgen-dependent conditions including acne, pattern hair loss, and excessive hair growth.
It underwent clinical evaluation for the treatment of androgen-dependent conditions, such as acne and alopecia.
Following the conclusion of phase II trials, no further development was reported.
RU58841 has a high affinity for androgen receptors and exhibits very little to no androgenic activity.
Even though it is a very potent anti-androgen it seems, from the limited scientifical data and anecdotal evidence, that it has very low systemic absorption when used in a topical solution, making it a drug of choice when looking to treat male pattern baldness.

When applied topically on the scalp RU58841 works by binding to the androgen receptors in the hair follicles preventing other androgens like DHT or testosterone to bind and exert androgenic activity that would lead to androgenic related hair loss.

How to use 58841
RU55841 must be applied topically to the scalp to exert its antiandrogenic effects on hair follicles.
The most common topical solutions used by the bodybuilding/hair loss community are PG (propylene glycol) or K&B solutions with 5% concentration of RU58841.
I personally apply somewhere in between 0,7ml to 1ml of 5% PG solution on my scalp.
I use an eyedropper to sprinkle the solution on the areas prone to male pattern baldness and rub it in with my fingertips to make sure the liquid is covering these areas entirely, and then I let it dry (it takes less than a minute to dry).
I apply RU55841 once a day at around the same time of the day (just before going to bed).
There is no clinical data around the half life of RU and its metabolites but from anecdotal evidence gathered from the bodybuilding/hair loss community, and from my personal experience, applying it once a day works very well and the occurrence of side effects is very low.
How to store RU55841
Mixed solutions should be stored in a fridge, and raw powder should be stored in a freezer to last for as long as possible.
Exposing RU to light or higher temperatures will cause degradation of the compound.
Why is RU58841 Even More Promising for Gear/SARMs Users
RU58841 works by binding to the androgen receptor preventing any other androgen to bind. That’s why it’s even more of a miracle drug for bodybuilders who use anabolic agents.
It competes with all steroids or SARMs for androgen receptor binding and has no bearing on the activity of 5-AR.
It is important to note that Finasteride (which is typically the first resort for guys looking for hair loss prevention) is very effective for treating hair loss, but it will only protect from Testosterone converting to DHT.
It will not protect the hair against SARMs that are bad for the hair, DHT derivatives or DHT created by other compounds like dianabol, trenbolone, anadrol, winstrol, masteron, equipoise, etc.
Also, testosterone at high enough doses will still cause androgenic alopecia in individuals prone to hair loss, even if on Finasteride.
